6th Fairfax cutting victim comes forward

Police say they believe another woman is the victim of a man who has been cutting young women and teenage girls at Fairfax County retail stores.

A 21-year-old woman reported Monday that she was cut on June 8 at the T.J. Maxx at the Fairfax Towne Center.

The woman told authorities she felt a pinch on her buttocks, turned around and saw a man picking up clothing. At the time, the woman thought she may have been cut by a hanger.

The incident is similar to five others reported since February throughout the county.

P.G. officers banned from working at parties off-duty

Prince George’s County police officers are now banned from working off-duty security details at house parties after a man drowned at a party where five officers were employed.

Police said a possible drowning was reported at the Upper Marlboro house party shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, but emergency responders didn’t find a body. Authorities were called to the house again at about 3 a.m. and found 22-year-old Kevin Akinfeleye in the pool.

Police said at a news conference Tuesday that the off-duty officers at the party weren’t to blame for the drowning, the Associated Press reported.

Va. parents indicted in child abuse case

A Prince William County grand jury indicted two Bristow parents on felony child abuse charges for allegedly trapping their children in a feces- and urine-filled room.

John Michael Robey, 33, and Christina Dawn Moore, 26, were arrested in March. Authorities say the two barricaded their three daughters — then ages 4, 2 and 4 months — in a bedroom by nailing drywall across the doorway. The 4-year-old escaped by climbing over the piece of drywall and ran to a neighbor for help.
