A 3-year-old girl was shot in Southeast D.C. Thursday evening, and three males were shot in a separate incident in Northeast about a half an hour later, police said.
The young girl was shot in the knee at about 6:10 p.m. while she was on a balcony in the 2400 block of Elvans Road Southeast. She was taken to a hospital, police spokeswoman Officer Tisha Gant said.
Police are looking for a man in connection with the incident who had a dark complexion, is about 6 feet tall and was wearing all black clothing.
About 6:40 p.m., police went to the 2000 block of Taylor Street Northeast and found three people who had been shot. A 22-year-old man was shot in the leg, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg and buttocks, and a 21-year-old man was shot in the back, thigh and foot, Gant said.
All three victims were taken to the hospital. No information about suspects was available Friday morning, Gant said.
