Wednesday hearing set in lacrosse murder

A hearing is scheduled on Wednesday for University of Virginia lacrosse player George Huguely V, who is charged with first-degree murder in the beating death of his former girlfriend, Yeardley Love.

Huguely’s defense, led by attorney Francis McQ. Lawrence, filed a motion and requested the hearing for 9 a.m., after The Washington Examiner reported on Monday that attorneys are discussing a plea deal.

Lawrence has not confirmed the subject of the hearing.
