An Albuquerque man was arrested after he allegedly tried to bite his fiancee’s engagement ring off her finger this week.
Matthew Sandoval, 23, was arguing with his fiancee because she wanted to spend the night at her mother’s house. Sandoval told police he wasn’t trying to stop his fiancee from leaving, he just wanted the ring back.
Police later found Sandoval at his mother’s house, where he was arrested and charged with aggravated battery on a household member.

Drunk-dialing and driving
A 17-year-old girl called 911 to report that she was drinking and driving.
Police found the teen in a parked car in downtown Bismarck, N.D. She failed a sobriety test and was arrested for failing to have control of her vehicle while intoxicated.
The girl told police that she had been driving around for hours.
The teen was not cited for drunken driving because the keys were in her purse when police arrived.
Another extreme home makeover
A 21-year-old St. Paul, Minn., woman told her ex-boyfriend that he couldn’t prove she was the one who vandalized his apartment on three occasions — but then she posted a picture of the damage on MySpace.
The woman doused the inside of his house with paint — splashing it on the walls, toilet, washing machine, computer and other furniture. She also allegedly filled the house with trash, impaled a teddy bear on a pole and stuck a knife through its head, and caused other damage.
The woman was charged with two felonies for the vandalism.
The complaint says she found out the man had been seeing another woman when he broke up with her.
