Police seek suspects in Silver Spring robbery

Montgomery County police are asking for help in finding two men who robbed a woman at gunpoint in Silver Spring earlier this month.

Police on Tuesday released surveillance video of the suspects in the robbery, which happened on March 9. A woman was walking on Second Avenue near Colesville Road when two men approached her from behind at about 10:30 p.m. and demanded items she was carrying. One of the men threatened her with a handgun, authorities said.

The woman’s bank card was later used at an area gas station; a video shows the two men there about 15 minutes after the robbery.

Both suspects are described as black, in their early-to-mid 20s, 5-feet-7-inches to 5-feet-9-inches tall and having medium builds.
