Prince William County police say a 51-year-old man taken into custody after officers saw him fleeing the scene of a burglary was also responsible for three other break-ins.
Irvin R. Lambert was arrested on burglary charges on March 13 after police say he broke into a house on the 16800 block of Winston Lane in Woodbridge. A 16-year-old girl who was home at the time heard a crash and called police. When officers arrived they say they saw Lambert running from the house.
Now, police say Lambert burglarized three other houses in Woodbridge since Jan. 25, taking flat-screen televisions and other electronics from the houses on the 16500 block of Capon Tree Lane, the 2700 block of Beech Tree Lane and the 2700 block of Patrick Henry Drive.
He has been charged with three counts of statutory burglary and two counts of grand larceny.
