Crime History: Police searching for suspect in Glen Burnie jobs

Anne Arundel County Police are looking for a suspect who robbed Severn Savings Bank and believe he also might have tried to rob another bank in Glen Burnie. The suspect entered the bank Feb. 3 and handed the teller a handwritten note that demanded money and implied he was armed. The bank teller complied and gave him an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then left on foot in an unknown direction.

No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect was described as a white male with a light complexion and a round face. He was approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 200 to 250 pounds. He wore a black hat with white writing on the front, a tan jacket, black pants and black shoes.

Despite the efforts of officers, detectives and a K-9 unit, police were unable to be find the robber.

The man is also suspected of attempting to rob Carrollton Bank on Feb. 2. That bank is less than a mile from the bank he is suspected of robbing the next day. The man at Carrollton Bank used the same method of passing the teller a note announcing the robbery but left before receiving any money.
