Bladensburg man arrested in man’s shooting death

A Bladensburg man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of a man found shot in a vehicle in Southeast D.C., police said.

Members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Grant Johnson, 37, on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder in the death of 32-year-old Ricardo Mandrell Lancaster, according to D.C. police.

Shortly before 7 a.m. on May 31, police went to the 800 block of Burns Street SE and found Lancaster behind the wheel of a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS personel at the scene found Lancaster had no signs of life, and Lancaster, of Fort Washington, was pronounced dead at the medical examiner’s office, police said.
