Md. bank robbed 3 times in 2009

Last year was rough for one Maryland bank.

It started in January 2009, when a man wearing a long blond wig with a red hat passed a teller a note at the BB&T at 10579 Theodore Green Blvd. in White Plains. The note demanded the teller turn over cash. The teller complied, and the robber ran out, police said.

Authorities said the robber in women’s clothing had rotten teeth and a gaunt face.

Then, in August, the bank was robbed again, this time by a man in his late 40s to early 50s, authorities said. He had a mustache and glasses and implied he was armed before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Now, police say, the August robber likely struck again Dec. 1 when he walked into the BB&T, announced a robbery and passed a note to the teller demanding cash. The teller complied, and the man promptly left the bank.

Police described him as a white male. He’s about 6 feet tall and has a medium build.

Anyone with information about any of the robberies is asked to call the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-609-6497. Callers who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
