A man who lived on the premises of an Annandale home day care has been arrested for allegedly molesting a girl, and police are investigating whether he victimized other children who attended the facility.
Elwood Lewis “Louie” Thomas, 28, was arrested June 7 and charged with two counts .o aggravated sexual battery, according to Fairfax County police.
In April, a now-14-year-old girl reported Thomas had inappropriately touched her on multiple occasions when she went to Happy Land Daycare, located at 6412 Holyoke Drive, when she was 11 and 12 years old, officials said.
Since he has been arrested, police have received several additional reports of Thomas inappropriately touching children at the day care. Thomas was not an official day care employee, but he “had daily interaction” with the children there, said police spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell.
The facility operated for several years but closed after the allegations surfaced.
