Two Prince George’s County police officers escaped injury after a drunken driver crashed into their cruisers, authorities said. Around 2 a.m. Saturday, Officer Arkeba Stewart and Cpl. Brian Johnson were outside their cars directing traffic away from an accident in Temple Hills when a sport-utility vehicle came down the street and crashed into both of their vehicles before landing on its side. The driver, 26-year-old Kevin Bernard Perry of Clinton, was charged with driving under the influence, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. Said Major James Harper: “Officer Stewart and Corporal Johnson were in the right place at the right time.”
