Police investigating death of infant

Anne Arundel County police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old girl that is considered suspicious.

On June 10, police were called to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for a report that the infant was in cardiac arrest. The girl had been taken to the hospital after a caregiver called 911 and said the infant was unresponsive at a Jessup residence, Anne Arundel County police officials said.

The infant was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after she arrived. An autopsy was conducted, but the final cause and manner of death have not been determined.
