A teenager was charged in a Prince William County hit-and-run that sent two people to the hospital.
The crash occurred about 8:15 a.m. Sunday at the Sonic Soft Car Wash on the 14100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said.
Police allege that Miguel Aguirre-Casoverde, 19, was leaving the wash tunnel and accelerated before turning sharply. He hit an unoccupied SUV and two pedestrians, then fled the scene, police said.
Aguirre-Casoverde was charged with hit-and-run and reckless driving. He was being held Monday pending a $6,000 bond.
The two pedestrians — a 48-year-old woman from Stafford and a 30-year-old man from Woodbridge — were flown to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Their names were not released.
