No press is bad press and the D.C. GOP has been getting a lot of it one way or the other this week.
The windows of the party’s headquarters were shot with what appears to be a BB gun. The news comes on the heels or the nearly successful attempts to scuttle the Republican Party’s only candidate running to fill an at-large council seat in an April 26 special election.
Executive Director Paul Craney said at first he thought the windows had been cracked by a gunshot, but he later discovered a BB pellet that he believes did the damage. He said police are investigating.
“The windows are all cracked up. If you put any pressure on them they’d all fall down,” Craney said. “We’re used to shooting daggers, I never thought we would be avoiding BBs.”
