Four shot in Prince George’s County

A 21-year-old man was arrested after four people were shot in Capitol Heights Sunday morning, police said.

Deangelo Green, from Upper Marlboro, was arrested in Alexandria and is facing attempted murder and first-degree assault charges, Prince George’s Police spokesman Cpl. Henry Tippett said.

Police got a call about a shooting in the 5500 block of Marlboro Pike around 12:34 a.m. Sunday, Tippett said.

Green and one of the victims had gotten into a physical altercation. Green then left and came back and fired shots. Four people were struck but had non-life threatening injuries, Tippett said.

Green got into a black Jeep, which officers spotted shortly after Green left the scene. Officers pursued the vehicle and Green was apprehended in the area around the Capitol Beltway and Telegraph Road in Alexandria, police said.
