Prince George’s County police and federal authorities are searching for a man suspected in a series of five robberies dating back to March.
The latest robbery occurred Aug. 7 about 1:22 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank in the 5800 block of Silver Hill Road in District Heights, but the man has been spotted on security cameras at banks around the District Heights and Camp Springs areas since March. He is suspected of robbing the same Wells Fargo branch on April 25.
The man is also suspected in a March 21 robbery at a Capital One Bank in District Heights; a June 28 robbery at BB&T Bank in Camp Springs and an Aug. 6 robbery at a Capital One Bank in District Heights.
Police described the suspect as a middle-aged black man who sometimes dresses in a “dapper” fashion — with a fedora, button-down shirt and blazer — while committing robberies. He is of medium build and typically wears sunglasses during heists. In the Aug. 6 incident, he was wearing a blazer, a white button-down shirt and a baseball cap reading “NH.”
