Police to target drunk drivers during Super Bowl
Area police are stepping up patrols Sunday to target drunk drivers during and after the Super Bowl.
Both Maryland State Police and Virginia State Police say extra officers will be on the highways as the Pittsburgh Steelers face off against the Green Bay Packers.
Police say people attending or hosting Super Bowl parties should designate sober drivers in advance, have phone numbers for cab companies, alternate drinks with food and non-alcoholic beverages and take keys away from anyone thinking about driving intoxicated.
