Police said they are investigating an abduction and attempted sexual assault in Chantilly.

On Sunday shortly before 9:30 p.m., a man grabbed a 37-year-old woman while she was walking toward her home in the 4100 block of Elmwood Street, Fairfax County police said.
The man displayed a weapon, moved the woman a short distance, tried to sexually assault her and then left on foot. The woman didn’t need medical attention, police said.
The suspect was described as white, tall, having a medium build and wearing a dark-colored jacket and dark pants. He concealed his face from the victim, police said.
