A District of Columbia police officer has been found guilty of attempting to receive stolen property.

Dioni Fernandez, 35, was one of three police officers caught in a sting aimed at weeding out corrupt cops. The 35-year-old Fernandez and the other officers purchased iPads, televisions and other electronic equipment that they believed were stolen.

Fernandez was found guilty Wednesday after a four-day trial in D.C. Superior Court. He’s scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 27.

The other officers, Silvestre Bonilla and Guillermo Ortiz, have already pleaded guilty. Ortiz was sentenced to supervised probation, while Bonilla is awaiting sentencing.
