D.C. man shot dead in Prince George’s
Prince George’s County police are investigating a Christmas shooting in Oxon Hill that left 23-year-old Quintin Tyrone Perry dead. Police responded to a call at Southview Drive and Southview Court at 11:08 a.m. Sunday, said spokesman Larry Johnson. When they arrived they found Perry, of the 3500 block of Sixth Street SE, suffering from a gunshot wound. Perry was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The police are investigating possible suspects and motives, but no arrests have been made, Johnson said Monday.
Armed men hit house in Southeast
Four men armed with a gun paid a Christmas Eve call on a home in Southeast Washington, Metropolitan Police spokesman Anthony Clay said. At about 11:40 p.m. Saturday, four black men banged on the door of a house on the 1000 block of 12th Street SE, said Clay. The suspects left with boots and a cell phone, according to the police report.
Girl shot at during robbery attempt
Three shots were fired at a girl Sunday night in Southeast Washington, said Metropolitan Police spokesman Anthony Clay. The girl was unharmed. The incident, which occurred at about 8:50 p.m. on the 1900 block of Ridgecrest Court SE, appeared to be an attempted robbery, but nothing was taken, said Clay. All three suspects are reportedly black men between the ages of 18 and 21.
Bomb threat investigated at Baltimore City Hall
Baltimore police investigated a suspicious package at City Hall on Monday morning, according to police report. The believed bomb turned out not to contain any dangerous materials or pose any threat. Discovered just after 7 a.m., the package consisted of a food container wrapped in a T-shirt with the word “bomb” written on it, according to the Associated Press. City Hall was closed Monday to observe the federal holiday.
