Off-duty cop charged with pulling gun at bar
A D.C. police officer was arrested and accused of pulling out a gun after being thrown from a bar in Connecticut.
Police said Danny McCullough III refused to finish his drink and leave at closing time early Sunday, the
New Haven Register reported. As he was being escorted from the Lager House bar, McCullough allegedly pulled out his weapon, a Glock 9mm, and pointed it at the ground, police said.
Authorities said video surveillance appears to show McCullough racking the slide of the gun, an action that would put a round in the chamber.
McCullough was charged with breach of peace, reckless endangerment, and resisting arrest.
D.C. police learned of the arrest Tuesday morning, and a spokesman said McCullough likely will be placed on administrative leave.
