Clothing store clerk arrested in Peeping Tom incident

An 18-year-old clothing store clerk was arrested after a woman accused him of filming her while she was in a dressing room.

Montgomery County police said a 24-year-old woman was trying on jeans at the Guess store in the Westfield Montgomery Shopping Mall earlier this month when she noticed the store clerk’s shoes close to the fitting room door. A cell phone was on the floor in front of his feet in a way that made her believe that he was taping her, police said.

She flung open the door and observed the clerk cover the phone with his foot. She left the store and contacted police.

Gonzalo Adolfo Quevedo-Garcia, of Gaithersburg, was charged with one count of violating the peeping Tom law and one count of visual surveillance with prurient intent.
