D.C. police are looking for the man who robbed a convenience store in Northeast at knifepoint.
Police said the suspect walked into a 7-Eleven on the 2500 block of Benning Road NE at about 4:40 a.m. Thursday and started a conversation with the cashier. He then brandished a knife, stole 30 to 50 packs of cigarettes left and the store.
No one was injured.
Police said the man is described as black, 50 to 55 years old and 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. He had a medium build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a camouflage baseball cap, a black T-shirt and black pants.
Anyone who has information about the robbery is asked to call police at 202-727-9099. Tipsters can also send a text message to 50411. A reward of $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
