Police seeking help in market robbery

D.C. police are asking for help in finding the person who robbed a Northwest Washington supermarket at gunpoint. Police are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the Dec. 9 robbery at the market on the 4400 block of 14th Street NW.

Police said the robbery occurred at about 4 p.m., when a man entered the store posing as a customer. He then displayed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a black man with a medium build who is in his early 30s. He is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 140 to 160 pounds.
