Cheerleading coach must register as sex offender

A former supervisor for the District’s summer jobs program must register as a sex offender for 10 years after she admitted to giving birth to a baby boy fathered by a high school student in the program.

Bowie resident Loni Haggins, 30, who was also a teacher’s aide and cheerleading coach at Wilson High School in Northwest Washington, must also complete 100 hours of community service, U.S. Attorney Ronald C. Machen Jr. announced.
