Arrest made in Northeast father-son killing

A 25-year-old Southwest man has been arrested on two counts of first-degree murder in relation for the shooting deaths of 32-year-old Li-Jen Chih and his 59-year-old father.

Chich and his father Ming-Kun Chih were working at their wholesale store on the 1200 block of Fifth Street NE, when Christian Taylor allegedly shot and killed them during a robbery, police said. The father and son are believed to have tried to fight off their attacker.

Missing Tysons teens spotted in S. Carolina

Two teenage girls who went missing from Tysons Corner are now believed to have run away after they were spotted in South Carolina, police said.

Police said two teenage girls who went missing from Tysons Corner have been spotted in South Carolina are now believed to be runaways.

Tiffany Ghani, 16, and 15-year-old Tram Hoang, went missing on June 18 from a parent’s apartment in Tysons Corner. At the time police believed the girls may have snuck out and then been kidnapped. But the witness who spotted them in South Carolina said they did not seem to be under any duress and their parents have since heard from them, police said.

Police cruiser crashes in Woodbridge

A Prince William County police officer and another driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries when they collided on Route 1 in Woodbridge, police said.

The officer had his lights and siren activated when he hit a turning vehicle near the Prince William Plaza Shopping Center, authorities said.

Arrest in June 14 Southeast slaying

A 43-year-old District man was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 37-year-old Derrick Harris on June 14 in Southeast, police said.

Anthony Walters turned himself in Monday, police said. He’s accused of shooting Harris to death on the 2600 block of Birney Place SE.
