Sketch released of suspect in assault on Fairfax student

Police have released a sketch of the suspect who grabbed a Fairfax County student and groped her as she was walking home from school.

Fairfax County police on Monday released the sketch of the man, who is described as between 20 and 40 years old, with a thin build and weighing about 170 pounds.

Fairfax County police said a man grabbed the Woodson High School student as she entered a path in a wooded area at the end of Pickett Road at about 4 p.m. on March 19. The man grabbed the girl’s neck and touched her inappropriately, according to police.The girl was knocked to the ground and the man fled after a brief altercation. The girl screamed and ran to a nearby home for help.

The man is believed to have been driving a white, four-door, early 2000s-model Honda Accord. He was wearing shorts and a white t-shirt. Last week, police distributed surveillance photographs that showed a possible suspect.
