Man robs Chevy Chase preschools

A man stole money and a Metro fare card out of two purses at a Chevy Chase, Md. preschool and visited at least three other preschools attempting to commit the same crime, police said.

Police are still searching for the suspect, who is described as a black male with a shaved head, standing at roughly 6 feet tall and 200 pounds.

The man entered All Saints Preschool in Chevy Chase Village around 9:15 a.m. on Friday morning and told the receptionist that he was interested in learning about the school, according to Chevy Chase police.

While the receptionist was busy helping someone else, the suspect entered two empty classrooms and stole cash and a Metro fare card from two purses.

Police say the suspect has attempted similar crimes at three other area schools, including Chevy Chase Baptist, Chevy Chase Presbyterian and Blessed Sacrament.
