‘Snoop’ pleads guilty in heroin conspiracy

An ex-con actress who played a Baltimore gang member in HBO’s “The Wire” pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy to distribute heroin.

 

Felicia “Snoop” Pearson was sentenced to three years probation.

Pearson was one of 64 people charged in the conspiracy in March. She was set to go to trial Tuesday. Pearson played a small role in the drug conspiracy and pleaded guitly to avoid the scrutiny, her lawyer said.

Pearons played an assassin, also named Snoop, in ‘The Wire, and was one of several cast members who were plucked off the streets of D.C. or Baltimore for key roles in the realistic HBO drama.

In 1996, she was sentenced to eight years in prison after being convicted of second-degree murder.
