Leesburg man charged with bomb hoax on cruise ship

A 31-year-old Leesburg man was arrested in Florida after he claimed there was a bomb on the cruise ship he was on.

Police said Ibrahim Khalil Zarou was heard shouting “We are jihad,” and “Come to the top deck and watch the bomb” on a Carnival Cruise ship Sunday. The Sensation, with about 3,500 people on board, was detained about four hours off Cape Canaveral as police conducted a shipwide search. No bomb was found. Zarou was charged with creating a false report about planting a bomb.
