The Blotter: THE BLOTTER

Burglar posted photo on victim’s Facebook page

A District teenager who broke into a home and then posted a picture of a stolen coat on one of the victims’ Facebook pages has pleaded guilty to burglary.

Rodney Knight Jr., 19, also pleaded to a separate charge of carrying a pistol without a license.

Prosecutors said Knight broke into a home in Northwest Washington and stole two laptop computers, a winter coat and $400. He then took a picture of himself wearing the stolen coat and posted the photo on one of the victims’ social network pages.

The guilty plea to the weapons charge stemmed from an incident last month in which police say they saw Knight throw a loaded pistol to the ground.
