Authorities are searching for a teenager who was spotted in Baltimore a week after she disappeared from the District, but has not been seen since.
Forever Perkins has been missing from D.C. since April 4.
The 15-year-old girl disappeared from a medical facility in the city, said Melinda Stevens, director of the missing children’s division for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Stevens said she didn’t know what type of health center Perkins ran away from.
Perkins is believed to have been sighted in Baltimore on April 15 by an employee of a group home where she had formerly been placed, Stevens said.
But that’s the last time anyone saw her, and it’s unknown whether Perkins is still in the D.C. or Baltimore areas.
Still, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has produced posters about Perkins’ case and distributed them in both of those regions, Stevens said.
She said Perkins has run away before, but she didn’t know how many times Perkins has been reported missing or what sparked the incidents.
Perkins is described as black, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 130 pounds, according to NCMEC. She has black hair and brown eyes. Perkins has a pierced lower lip.
She was last seen wearing a white shirt and torn jeans.
Anyone with information about her disappearance is asked to call NCMEC at 800-THE-LOST (800-843-5678) or D.C. police at 202-727-9099.
