Man charged in robbery of U. of Maryland student

University of Maryland police have a charged a 19-year-old Silver Spring man in connection with a December robbery of a graduate student.

Omiesam Nathaniel Ockiya, who police were already holding for another infraction, faces seven charges including armed robbery, first degree assault, theft under $1000, credit card theft and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Police are still seeking an unspecified second person for their role in the incident.
