Montgomery County police said they believe a man shot after a car crash in Colesville on Monday knew his attacker.
Two cars collided at the intersection of Montvale Drive and Flannery Lane at about 10 a.m., police said. The driver of a car that was carrying two other people jumped out and shot the other driver in the arm before fleeing the scene, police said.
The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The 19-year-old unidentified shooter was found nearby and arrested. Police said they were still looking for the gun as of Monday evening.
The passengers in the shooter’s car also have been taken into custody, police said, adding that the incident does not appear to be gang-related and the motive still is under investigation.
