A Michigan man who apparently developed a crush on an industrial-sized vacuum cleaner was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Jason Leroy Savage, 29, was arrested in October after a resident called police to report suspicious activity at a carwash. Police charged Savage with performing a sex act with a vacuum cleaner.
Savage must also submit to drug testing.
The real housewives of Central Florida
A Florida woman was arrested after she purposely drove her golf cart over another woman at an RV resort near Orlando.
Verna Boylan, 56, was watching a game of horseshoes outside the Roadhouse Bar when Linda Pearce, 41, drove up in a golf cart and told her passenger, “Oh, there’s the (expletive) … I’m going to run her over.”
Pearce then ran straight into Boylan and continued driving for 15 yards, even after Boylan became stuck under the cart.
Pearce was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Boylan was treated and released a nearby hospital.

A bachelorette party in Kansas got out of hand after someone threw a large inflatable penis at a police horse.
Officers on horseback happened upon a large group of women celebrating a bachelorette party in Wichita’s bar district, police said.
A 24-year-old man threw the 5-foot-long prop at a horse, spooking it. Police arrested the man for battery of a law enforcement officer, in this case, the horse. A short melee broke out.
One woman grabbed a police officer and another woman punched a horse in the head. The horse then stepped on her foot. Both women were arrested.
Kiddie car pool
Police say a Montana woman let her 12-year-old daughter drive five miles into town to drop off three siblings at day care.
Police were alerted by school employees who saw the pre-teen roll up with the 1-, 2- and 4-year-old children.
The mother, Angela Parenteau, 32, told police she didn’t want to take the kids herself because she was sick and on medication.
Prostitution usually works the other way
A North Carolina woman was arrested after she beat down a door to offer sex for $10.
Nicole Scarpone, 26, of Lincolntown, reportedly forced her way into an apartment and asked the three men inside to pay her for sex.
Scarpone told police that she had been to the apartment before and wanted to make some quick money.
Officer, arrest thyself
A Texas police officer was arrested on bank robbery charges after co-workers recognized that the robber moonlighted as a security guard there.
Michael Edward Tindall, a 22-year veteran of the Conroe Police Department, is accused of stealing more than $28,000.
Bank officials and police recognized Tindall on surveillance tapes even though he wore a white helmet with a clear visor and aviator sunglasses.
Police officers said Tindall had worn a helmet like the one the robber wore when he drove a go-cart at a Conroe Police Association children’s festival.
