An eight-months pregnant woman was stabbed in the stomach early this morning in Southeast D.C. during a violent night in the District, police said.
The child she was carrying has expired, D.C. police spokesman Officer Araz Alali said.
The woman was stabbed in the 4200 block of 9th Street SE about 2:15 a.m. She told police that a man stabbed her in her home, and she was taken to a hospital, police said. Police didn’t have a description available for a suspect.
The stabbing wasn’t the only violent incident overnight in the District.
In Northeast D.C. about 9 p.m. Wednesday, three females were stabbed near the Rhode Island Avenue Metro station, police said.
The three females got into a verbal dispute with another female who stabbed them. The victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries and a juvenile female was arrested in the incident.
In another Northeast D.C. incident, a man was shot not far from the Benning Road Metro station shortly after 1 a.m. today, police said. Three unknown suspects approached him when he was in a car, and one shot him. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No suspect information was available for the shooting.
