Police said sexual assaults have been reported on trails near the West Hyattsville Metro station.
Since late January, Park Police and the Hyattsville City Police Department have responded to three calls for rape, sexual assault and attempted assault in that area, police said. The incidents have occurred at random times, including during the day.
Police believe the attacker is a Hispanic man in his 20s who is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds.
Residents should walk in groups and use extreme caution on trails near the station, police said.
