A Fairfax man tracked down his stolen property on Craigslist, met the seller at a doughnut shop and called police to arrest him, Fairfax County police said. Police said thieves broke into a Buick sedan in the 1300 block of Pleasant View Lane on Thursday night and stole GPS devices hidden in the vehicle. The victim reported the theft to police and checked Craigslist for the stolen property. After seeing an item he suspected was his, the man contacted the seller and met the man at a doughnut shop Saturday afternoon. He called police and they responded. Police charged Patrick Hayward, 20, of Alexandria, with receiving and buying stolen goods.
