An illegal immigrant was sentenced to 24 years in prison for smuggling teenagers and women into the D.C. area to work as sex slaves.

Jorge Flores-Rojas, a 44-year-old Mexican national, admitted in a federal court in Charlotte, N.C., to two counts of sex trafficking of minors and one count of interstate transportation of an adult for prostitution. He was sentenced Monday.
