Couple’s killer gets two life sentences A Maryland man was sentenced to two life terms plus 20 years in prison for the 2009 slaying of an affluent Prince George’s County couple.

Prosecutors said Delford Barnes, 29, of Springdale killed Seth Aidoo, 40, and Eunice Bah, 36, in their gated-community home near Upper Marlboro. Bah had been shot in the head, and Aidoo had been stabbed and cut 40 times.

Barnes was the boyfriend of Seth Aidoo’s estranged wife.

Arizona man admits he carried gun near Mall

An Arizona man arrested last month near the National Mall pleaded guilty Monday to two charges: one count of attempting to carry a pistol without a license and one count of possession of an unregistered firearm.

Police arrested James Patock, 66, after finding three rifles and a pistol inside his vehicle, which was parked in a handicapped spot near the National Air and Space Museum. He told police that he had been living in his trailer in the D.C. area for several weeks and had a right to keep guns in his home.

Vehicle strikes 18 cars

A 34-year-old woman was charged in a hit-and-run and driving under the influence after police said she struck 18 cars overnight in Frederick.

Officers arrested Austina Marie Biggus of Walkersville early Monday.

Frederick police received numerous complaints of a vehicle driving recklessly and striking parked cars. They found the vehicle had crashed into a fence near the Allegheny Power site. Police said Biggus also struck a tree, a traffic sign and two gates at the power company.

No one was injured.
