Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) attempted to rid her San Francisco house of any evil by asking Catholic priests to come perform an exorcism following the attack on her husband.
Paul Pelosi was violently attacked inside the couple’s San Francisco home on Oct. 28. The former speaker’s husband suffered several injuries requiring surgery after a man allegedly broke into their home looking for Nancy, according to a federal criminal complaint.
The Pelosis’ daughter, Alexandra Pelosi, told the New York Times that her mother, a Catholic, was upset following the attack and invited the priests.

“I think that weighed really heavy on her soul. I think she felt really guilty. I think that really broke her,” Alexandra said. “Over Thanksgiving, she had priests coming, trying to have an exorcism of the house and having prayer services.”
The former speaker recently said that she felt “very sad” that her husband “paid the price” for her political career.
“I feel very sad about it because of what happened, but also more sad because the person was searching for me,” Nancy Pelosi told CNN. “My dear husband, who is not even that political actually, paid the price.”
“It’s a miracle that this kind of thing never happened sooner,” Alexandra said of the attack. “We were always worried. It’s like your worst fear coming to life.”

Nancy has called her husband’s recovery “one day at a time.”
