Two people were arrested at President Trumpâs Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida after driving a pickup truck onto the property, according to the Palm Beach Police Department.
Police said a white male and an Asian woman were warned not to enter the property but ignored the warning and were arrested Tuesday. Both face charges of trespassing after warning and resisting without violence.
A bomb squad also responded and cleared the vehicle, which was then removed from the property.
âAt no time was the community, guests at Mar-a-Lago or Mar-a-Lago staff at risk,â police spokesman Michael Ogrodnick told the Washington Examiner.
Trump was not at the property at the time of the incident.
The resort has had a string of security breaches over the last year. A Chinese woman, Yujing Zhang, was found guilty in September of trespassing at the club and lying to federal agents about why she was there. A second Chinese national, Jing Lu, was found guilty in February of resisting police when she fled from Trumpâs resort after she walked onto the property after security told her she wasnât allowed there.
In January, a Connecticut woman crashed her SUV through two security checkpoints, prompting law enforcement to fire shots at the vehicle.
