Armed, masked men rob Columbia bank

The FBI has released photos of two armed, masked men who robbed a Columbia BB&T Bank.

It was around 9:30 a.m. May 26 when the two men burst into the bank on the 8800 block of Columbia 100 Parkway, police said. They pulled out guns and demanded cash. There were four employees and one customer inside at the time, police said.

No one was injured, and the two men ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Both men were wearing masks, one a simple ski mask with the eyes cut out, the other a more elaborate, multicolored face covering and a hat, authorities said.

One bandit was black and about 6 feet tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a gray sweat suit with the sweat shirt’s hood pulled around his head. The other was also black, about the same height and had a similar build. He was wearing black clothing.

Anyone with information should call Howard County police at 410-313-3200. Callers may remain anonymous. Anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest can receive a reward of up to $1,000.
