Two sought in armed MoCo home invasion A 68-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint and bound with duct tape in a home invasion Monday afternoon in the Cabin John area, Montgomery County police said.

Two men in their late teens broke into the man’s home on the 7400 block of Arden Lane through a back door at about 1 p.m., said Capt. Paul Starks, a Montgomery County police spokesman.

The men asked the victim for duct tape and restrained him while taking items from the house, Starks said. He said investigators believe the attack was not random.

Pedestrian killed in P.G. hit-and-run

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Prince George’s County.

Police said a man was struck by a vehicle on the 1700 block of Metzerott Road in Adelphi at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday. That vehicle left the area. While in the road, the man was hit by a second vehicle, and that driver remained at the scene, police said.

Police said officers were initially called to the scene for a report of a robbery but determined that no robbery had occurred.

8-year-old robbed of iPod

Two teenagers robbed an 8-year-old boy of his iPod at the Potomac Mills Mall, Prince William County police said.

Police said the teens grabbed the iPod out of the boy’s hand, then fled near the Against All Odds store at the mall at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The boy wasn’t hurt.

One suspect is described as a 15- or 16-year-old white male teenager with black hair. He was wearing a gray skull cap, blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt. The other is a 12- or 13-year-old boy wearing a North Face-style jacket, a white shirt and black jeans.
