Authorities are looking for a 64-year-old Clinton man who disappeared earlier this month.
George Willie Bellamy was last seen outside his home on the 5300 block of Vienna Drive at about 10 p.m. Jan. 7, according to Prince George’s County police. He has not been seen or heard from since then.
Investigators had no new leads on what might have happened to him as of Tuesday, said Cpl. Henry Tippett, a Prince George’s police spokesman.
Tippett said Bellamy’s disappearance is not considered suspicious at this point.
“They don’t suspect anything as far as foul play goes,” he said.
Bellamy’s family members reported that when he was last seen, he was standing outside and talking with someone in a vehicle. Tippett said he didn’t know whether that person or the vehicle had been identified. It isn’t known how Bellamy left his neighborhood.
Bellamy suffers from dementia and has “wandered off” before, Tippett said. But authorities are concerned about his welfare because he doesn’t have his medication with him.
He is known to spend time in the Georgia Avenue area of Northwest D.C., according to police.
Bellamy is described as black, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Bellamy was last seen wearing green pants, a cream-colored hooded sweatshirt and black shoes.
Anyone who has information about Bellamy’s disappearance is asked to call Prince George’s County police at 301-856-3130.
