Body found in recycling container identified
Authorities identified the body found in a recycling container in Manassas as that of a 60-year-old homeless man.
James Sessoms was found dead Wednesday at the Canusa Hersman Recycling Center. He is believed to have been a veteran.
Police are not investigating the incident as a homicide.
Metrobus crash sends one to hospital
A D.C. Metrobus and a vehicle collided Sunday afternoon near the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and Rhode Island Avenue NW, police and Metro officials said. The bus operator was taken to the hospital after initially declining treatment, but did not appear to be seriously injured, said a Metro spokesman. A police spokesman did not have information about which driver was at fault.
