Two arrested after crash at reflecting pool near Capitol



Two men were arrested after a vehicle crashed into a reflecting pool near the U.S. Capitol early this morning, police said.

About 3 a.m., officers were conducting a traffic stop in the 1100 block of North Capitol Street when a vehicle fled and crashed into a reflecting pool in the unit block of D Street NW, D.C. police said.

A gun was recovered, and the men were arrested in connection with the weapon recovery, police said. The car has been removed from the pool.
