Trooper breaks leg, nabs runner

A Maryland state trooper who broke his leg still managed to make the arrest.

Trooper Jeremy Tindal stopped a car Sunday evening for speeding on Interstate 270.

Tindal ordered passenger Daniel Famulare, 22, of Darnestown, out of the car.

Police say a plastic bag fell from Famulare’s pants and he took off running.

Tindal chased the man down an embankment but felt something pop in his left leg. Still, he managed to pull Famulare to the ground.

Famulare was charged with drug offenses and resisting arrest.
