Va. woman guilty in murder-for-hire plot A Loudoun County woman has admitted that she hired what she thought was a hit man to kill her boyfriend’s mistress.
Ann Cinnamon pleaded guilty to murder for hire on Wednesday in federal court in Alexandria. The 41-year-old Sterling woman admitted that she met last fall with someone who agreed to harm her boyfriend’s mistress, according to court documents. That person then called the FBI.
The informant said he could arrange for a “friend” to hurt or kill the mistress. In October, he told Cinnamon that his “friend” needed to know whether she wanted the mistress killed.
“That is exactly what I want done,” Cinnamon said, according to court papers. They made arrangements for Cinnamon to pay $500 for the killing.

Police investigate Arlington sex assault
Police are investigating a sexual assault and believe more women might have been victimized by the same man.
A female escort was sexually assaulted in a Crystal City hotel room on Jan. 19, according to Arlington County police. Police said a man hired the woman online, forced her to stay against her will and performed “unwanted sexual acts.” Police say the man might have assaulted other women he contacted through online advertisements.
The man is described as black, 35 to 45 years old, 5-feet-7 inches to 5-feet-9 inches tall and 160 to 180 pounds.
