Prince George’s County police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three men who lost $100,000 after robbing a bank in Clinton.
On Sept. 20, at about 8:45 a.m., three suspects forced their way into a Navy Federal Credit Union in the 8800 block of Branch Avenue. Once inside, suspect No. 1 approached the victim and demanded money from the vault. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene.
The robbers implied they had weapons, but none were seen, police said.
Police have recovered more than $100,000 taken in the heist, but the suspects have not been found, said Capt. Kara Lloyd. Police got information about the location of the money and recovered it, Lloyd said. She would not elaborate.
Suspect No. 1 is described as a black male, about 25 years of age, 6-feet 2-inches tall, 200 pounds, dark complexion, wearing blue jeans, black and green shoes, black mask and gloves.
Suspect No. 2 is described as black male, 25 years old, 5-feet-4, 180 pounds, black sweatshirt, dark colored pants, black shoes, black mask and gloves. Suspect No. 3 is described as are described as black male, 6-feet, medium build, wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, black and white shoes, ski mask and black gloves.
Navy Federal Credit Union is offering an additional $5,000 reward along with the $1,000 Crime Solvers Reward. Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call police at 301-772-4905.
